Introducing Danny Merx

Essential House Thursday, August 26, 2010

Challenging dance music with his chaotic punch lines and slick musicianship, the in-demand Dj/Producer is causing an assault to the senses. His skill and experience reflective through his charismatic presence behind the decks and in the studio.

Danny Merx’s propulsive mixes have been taken on by the likes of Onelove, Velcro and Central Station Records; cementing spots on the Aria charts. The release of his first single, “Waiting For The Night” (Velcro and Slip-N-Slide Records) co-written by headliners Tara Mc Donald and Nicole Jenkinson saw success instantaneously. His arrival consolidated by the original track hitting #6 on the UK club charts, an emphatic Stonebridge remix and support from globe-trotting masterminds Bob Sinclar and Martin Solveig.

His second single “Useless” saw its way onto the play-list of one of the biggest radio shows in house music. It featured on Roger Sanchez’ show ‘Release Yourself’ being heard to millions around the world.
Up next for Danny Merx on the production side is his 3rd single in time for summer happily titled “Bring the Sunshine” which will no dubitably become a summer anthem with its huge big room stabs.
Juggling residences, guest appearances and studio time; Merx’s sound takes you on a breathtaking ride of pure simplicity to layers of wild insanity. His rising acclaim vindicated by label offers from such names as Pacha Recordings, Sony France, Vidisco, Blue Dove Records and CLS.

With an overload of rush-of-blood-to-the-head mixes demolishing dance floors about town, Danny Merx is taking it all in his stride.

You know the history; now here’s the future.
